Local to Ivanhoe, and located in the main strip. This Italian spot has a great atmosphere and the food was really good. The beef in the Ragu could have been could a bit slower and longer to get a bit more of melting in the mouth effect, however the pizza’s are amazing. Overall rating 4.5
5-stars all round for this classic Italian restaurant that serves hearty dishes and has very attentive and friendly service. Every dish we tried (pictured) was really good and the pizza dough was soft and well “burnt”. The tiramisu was delicious.

As most of you already know, yours truly is currently stationed in a beautiful suburb of Ivanhoe, retreating and recouping. Soooo, given that I have never been to Ivanhoe before, legit, I was curious to find a place for a #valentines dinner. I went off the first recommendation on internet search and took a leap of faith, and reluctantly booked at @joia_cucina - I had never heard of them before. What followed blew my mind away, this beautiful and I do not use this word lightly, restaurant is located on a bustling street of quaint Ivanhoe suburb and it's beautiful inside out. Making a reservation helped because even at 5:30 pm, this was nearly at capacity. It shows how popular this place is among locals. We ordered our appetizers, brocollini, and caprese salad. For mains, we kept it simple, Pizza 🍕 eggplant parmigiana. And for desserts we ordered Nutella pizza. BUT what fo we have here, Nutella pizza alright, butheart-shapedd pizza bread pockets filled with Nutella, strawberries and pistachios! How can one not fall in love with this. All foods were fresh, flavourful delicious - I am not exaggerating when I say,loved the pizza bread, so fresh, so light, so delicious. Staff was amazing, friendly, and caring. They offered suggestions when sought, fabulous service. Cannot fault. I gotta come back here even if it means an hour long train ride. It's worth it.
Went to this restaurant for Mothers Day lunch! The atmosphere is lovely and a very cosy restaurant with lots of seating. Waiters are very friendly and will make sure you have everything you need. We ordered; meatballs, Gamberi pizza, buffalo mozzarella pizza, salami pizza and seafood spaghetti. The woodfire pizza is so delicious as the base is light and fluffy and topped with heaps of ingredients. The pasta was also very delicious and seafood was fresh. We also ordered some cocktails and wine and really enjoyed our drinks, they had a special cocktail for the day too. Visit this restaurant for beautiful Italian food and great service.
Delicious gnocchi, pizza and pasta. The tables were spaced out, not too squashed. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the kids pasta, they also have kids cutleries. Will be back!

Came in tonight as a group of 6 ladies for a birthday dinner and 5 stars doesn’t do it justice. The food was incredible and the service was impeccable with very lovely staff.
Absolutely amazing food served at Joia Ivanhoe. The entrees are cooked and served to perfection and the pizzas are simply amazingly presented. The restaurant is on the basement of a set of apartments, which was built about 5 years ago, so the restaurant still looks fresh, clean and well maintained. The staff and cooking crew are friendly and professional.
Been here a few times now. The service is OUTSTANDING. The food is great and they do their best to accommodate dietary requirements. Its the best restaurant in the area and is reasonably priced. Highly recommend the pizza They also have vegan cheese options which is great
